GA Mac Lachlan Inc was founded in 1996 and is based in Durbanville. Our team of qualified and dedicated professionals offer a personal and professional service to all our clients. GA Mac Lachlan Inc is a registered member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and of the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA). The firm is also a registered Tax Practitioner.

Our firm specializes in rendering several financial, tax and other related services to mostly professional practices as well as successful small to medium businesses in other fields. Company History

Gerard Mac Lachlan completed his articles in 1984 at Brink Roos & Du Toit, one of the auditing firms currently incorporated in Price Waterhouse. He then passed his B Compt (Hons) degree in 1985 and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986. Gerard started working as a Senior Income Tax Inspector at Inland Revenue in Cape Town in 1989 and worked there for 2 years until 1991. He then returned to Price Waterhouse for another year as a Senior Audit Manager. In 1992, he was offered a position as financial manager at Pathcare, a group of approximately 50 pathologists country wide.

He was in their employment until 1994, after which he started his own practice working from home, until 1996, when the practice moved to official offices. In 1996 he registered the practice as an Accountant and Audit practice at the Public Accountants and Auditors Board, and has been practising as such ever since. The practice has consequently grown at a constant rate and has established a strong client base since then.
